    Hi everyone,
Some of you have been wondering about the current status of my Alienware experience. You have no doubt read about the trouble I experience with my first Alienware, the m9750. Three repairs later, it was decided that it was no longer worth repair, and I was upgraded to a new m15x. Unfortunately, I've managed to get caught in the same repair cycle. Shortly after I unboxed my m15x for the first time, I immediately spotted two issues. The first issue was a crack in between the webcam and the LCD screen. The second issue was the "I" key popping off. Everything was in tact except for these two issues.

Crack - Hard to spot but look closely

After I received it back from repair, the two issues were cleared up, and there was a new one introduced. This time the lamination on the LCD screen was bubbling towards the middle of the top.

I've come to the conclusion that I must be cursed or something, because nobody has reported their LCD lamination bubbling or a crack beneath the webcam. I am once again remaining hopeful, but this system is slowly turning into another refurb.

I think I'll switch to Voodoo if it doesn't work out. I'll just have to keep the games on the Xbox 360.

If anyone qualifies for a lemon refund, it sounds like you do.

Ditch that thing before the real problems start, and check out the Sager NP8660 or the NP5796. You'll get way more machine for way less money.

Anyway Gabez... it's just a little crack on the LCD and some imperfections. I'm sure it's nothing serious. Just disregard it...
Appart from that, how is the rest of the machine?

i disagree milcs... tho it seems to be a general consensus among AW owners to accept "flaws" it is a flawed machine...

it may not affect the performance but when you purchased the machine, it did not say that you have to accept minor production flaws and defects.

not trying to incite anything but i am seriously amazed at how folks settle for less.

you did not pay $5000 to get a system that has cracks... or keys popping off, or screen hinges breaking after a couple of use... seriously...

For the first time in known history, milcs is being pressured by someone else into seeing the darker side of Alienware.

Bling bling bling... and the prize goes to the... sarchasm! :D
At least I could make people come out with comments I would make myself.
As I said over and over, it baffles me to hear people saying "It wobles and creacks and overheats and the keys jump... but it's ok!". :D

Oh well... Svarto knows me too well now! :)

    Hi,
Asside from the current physically flaw (bubbling lamination), the machine looks and performs fine. I really like the lights and the feel of the machine.

damn that is some bad luck...well i would personally tell you to consider the m17x out of everyone that has received this laptop i have not seen any problems except one (but his is more vista based) i have a m17x and i absolutely love it it would be a bit heavy to carry around but so would the sager and this thing is just an absolute beauty... well thats my opinion whatever you decide on be happy with it :D
