    My evaluation of Dell re: Allpowerful M17x purchase & support. Dell much better than Alienware of Old in the service department.

    Sales = A+
    very impressed my laptop was configured exact, arrived ahead of schedule, and priced reasonably given the quality components

    Tech Support = A-
    Very patient. Trying to figure out SLI and which apps work , which dont, and the overall setup. Tech support listen very well, try and help, and very patient

    Customer Service = A+
    After the sale, Customer service is very good, they honor all warranties, repair, replacement, or refund.

    Very impressed with across the board Dell Sales & Support

    If you have doubts, purchase the M17x from Dell, you will be very satisfied and impressed with this computer company.

    Yes, I had a bad MB on my M17x and the are sneding me a replacement and a nice discount to make up for the inconvinience. This didnlt happen automatically but it happened.

    I ordered my system off the web so I can't rate Sales. If you wanted me to rate the web order system - I would give it a B-. A fowl up there with some wrong SKU's the first day is what caused my order to be delayed, cancelled, split in two then reordered. Actually, maybe I would downgrade it to a C. As it turns out, ordered placed by phone reps get a priority over orders placed on the web site* so it deserves a little less. I WISH I would have placed my order with a phone rep. From what I heard it really helps.

    I only had a very limited contact with Tech Support (two calls, three emails) but I would have to agree with you there. They get an A-.

    I had an horrible time with their customer care department. Wrong information, rude people, people who didn't do their job, emails that didn't get answered, the list goes on and on. You can go look at the emails in the order thread for the details. I wouldn't give that department better than a D-. I will avoid dealing with them at all costs from now on.
