I bought the 17x R3 through AAFES when it went back up to 20%. Was considering a return/rebuy if it went up to 30% again, but not for 2%. Regardless still a good deal for those eligible. On that note, I wonder what the PM was for heh.

what AAFES ? and does it work in the UK ?
-
Hopefully when I order my M18X they'll have a nice 30% discount waiting for me. -
dam, UK armed forces get like 5% ... pfft
-
Can civs working on base take advantage?

The PM was clarifying his brother's access to purchase from aafes since he has sworn in, but not shipped to basic yet.toughasnails likes this. -
This is awesome! It should also be noted that military retired and dependents can also cash in on this discount. AKA if you can get on base and buy from AAFES in store, you can buy online.

Yeah I bought my m15x through AAFES and saved like $1000 with the specs I had. I even called the dell rep and he said that there's no way he can give me that good of a deal, so I bought through AAFES instead.
Someone said that military veterans are still eligible correct? -

Can I upgrade any of the parts through AAFES? My dad is retired military.

yes, aafes has most if not all of the available upgrades. It is very much like ordering through dell.

But, it looks like the only way to pay is with a credit, which I don't have -

Do you have a aversion to getting a credit card? Using one responsibly is a great way to start establishing good credit (however it can also lead to the other side).toughasnails likes this. -
Woops, posted in the m14x section about this discount on aafes. My bad.
Too bad the m11xR3 isnt yet on aafes. -
You should be able to buy a credit card with cash, there are a few available that work like phone cards and transit cards and have no fees.
-
Darn I ordered when it was 20%.
But only $30 difference overall. -
