Can you purchase warranty, thus extending warranty life past five years for the replacement system or the warranty life (5 years) should be from the original system?

The balance of the remaining warranty on the system being replaced should be transferred over to the replacement machine, therefore, the maximum warranty you can 'extend' to would be from the start date of the original machines warranty. Once it has reached 5 yrs, it should no longer be renewable - even if the replacement machine is a new build in its own right and obviously not 5 years old......

This pretty much sums up how the max period of warranty works. Even when we send a brand new computer the new machine will have the remaining warranty and if you wish to extend it, it'll still be attached to the original purchase date.
