Dell DPA Missing????_ AW17 Purchase_ Please Help

Hello. Very strange thing going on....

Purchased an Alienware 17 about a month ago, laptop came in and i'm super happy. It was about $2.2k and I put 2k on Dell's DPA and the rest on my charge card.
After the purchase I never got an email about the DPA or payment info etc. So not wanting to incur the interest I called DPA up and gave the automated computer my ssn and zip code and it said they had no record of me having a DPA account at all.

I originally got the DPA acount some years back from another purchase, and when I was buying this laptop the sales agent said he simply "reactivated" my account and said the 2k DPA charge had gone through with no problems.

My question is: did I just get a laptop for $200 bucks and Dell messed up and forgot to activate and/or charge my DPA? Or is Dell just being really sneaky and trying to make me miss a payment so they get all that juicy interest I'd owe. Haven't gotten ANY payment info yet........ (haven't spoken with an actual person yet either).

Super confused...... thoughts? comments? opinions? experiences?

If it was me I would call and speak to a person in DP and cover my base's. They will find it some day and what would your excuse be ? I forgot i bought it.

When I bought M14X the same thing happened but on my bank CC. It was on my card and said pending. It then diappeared entirely from my CC online account. When I received it, it still wasn't on my card. About 4 days later I went back to my account and there it was. It will eventually show up I believe.

 

That's normal for the card. It's not normal for the DPA. I'd give Dell a call ASAP so you don't get hit with any fees.
