    Hey all,

Can someone explain exactly what this is, what's doing and what it's functions are? It's just decided to update itself and I'm not completely sure. I guess toaster.exe is something to do with it in processes that runs at start up.

I got all my files backed up to an external hard drive and an external drive I can format and install windows from so what is this dell data safe local backup doing?

Is it best just to leave it alone or what?

    Thanks all.

I disabled it from startup, last thing i need is another program backing up files and using much needed resources in the process.

Is there any reason to keep it open and even installed?

There is no reason to keep this backup program installed. I disabled it by downloading and using CCleaner, there's an option to disable programs running on startup.. while you're at it you can turn off Alienware Command Centre for a pretty large performance boost.

I disabled the command centre, the cpu usage that thing thinks it needs is silly.

Uninstalling the Dell Data Safe was easy as well, thanks for the info. :D

The other day Dell Data Safe appeared to make a recovery image directly to my recovery partition on my hard drive. If that is so, I think I am going to keep it and just disable it from loading at launch, as that is a handy feature.
