    Dell Driver Download - CD/DVD Help

    Hi Guys -

    I was just checking to see if there was any updates for my M17x. I clicked under CD/DVD and there are 5 choices, all of them had gotten released after I had recieved my system. Which ones do I download, or is it even important to do so?

    EDIT: theres panasonic, (2 of these) optiarc, HLDS, TSST...All firmware

    Under system devices which drive do you have? Then download it.

    The listings under CD on Dell's M17x site are firmware updates, not driver updates, so you need to be sure to get the one that matches the drive you have. They have one for the BD Combo drive, one for the BD-RE drive, and 3 for the DVDRW drive.

    Assuming you don't have Blu-Ray, your device manager should be able to narrow the other three down. However, I'm pretty sure that the firmware updater will check your device and let you know if you have the wrong one.
