Let me start off by saying I used the search function as much as possible but it seemed like every thread was pre-2007 and I couldn't find what I was looking for. Anyway back to the topic. So i'm finally ready to pull the trigger on my M15x ($300 off my exact config seems pretty righteous) and will be using the financing, now I have a few questions about it:
1. When is the first payment withdrawn and how much is it, like just the monthly fee it shows on the site or 2x that amount or what?
2. Does anyone think it would be possible to talk to them into 12 month no interest financing since its currently not offered?
3. With the financing I can pay it off as fast as i want right? I would probably have it paid fully in like 8 months. Just wanna make sure im not stuck paying tiny increments with 25% interest for 4 years..
4. Is the monthly amount automatically withdrawn or do I submit it whenever I feel like it?
5. If I can't get no interest financing, just to clarify say my order was 60$ a month over 4 years the interest would be charged every month? so probably like an extra 10$ a month? I can live with that as long as I can pay it off as quickly as I want.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.![]()

1. if you mean by billing they take it out once your order is shipped/delivered. or what day you choose to pay them. like the pay today option or w/e. depends on your bank too. i paid them on 7/20/10 with the one day option and took them 2 days to get my payment and another day for them to update my account on the dell financing site. and they still credited me with 7/20/10 as my pay date.
2.if you paid with the dell preferred account they should give you like no interest if paid full within 12 months or w/e, thats what i have.
3. yeah, you could pay them any amount you want. like 100$ one month and 200$ another month
4.you should set it up to automatically withdraw it each month on a certain day.
5.lol too lazy to do the math but i recommend to pay at least 100$ a month.
*EDIT*
another detail to question 1
they will give you a date on which your first payment is due. usually due a month later. order mines on 6/29 by first payment was due on 8/13 -
I think no interest is still going on but it is ONLY for Dell Preferred Account.
-
Ok so just to clarify from the day I order (probably tommorrow
) I'll have up to a month to submit the first payment? I'm a little cash-poor at the moment so that's good to know. I guess should I go for the Dell preferred account for the no interest financing. If I was approved for normal financing I hope I'll be approved for the preferred account. Nice I'm so pumped about this. Thanks for the responses.

@master schollz
they will ping your account (guess i could put it that way) to verify it what what not but you wont get charged (thats if you paid with a cc or debit card) until its shipped/delivered. with the perferred account the first payment is due a month later. no problem -
Another question, anyone know if you can get the 12'months no interest on the DPA in Canada?
-
When you are ordering online and check your cart, you get to see tax calculation and stuff like that. The active "coupons" are also just listed below the items you in your cart. If you get to see the 12 months no interest, then you get it. If not, you may have to call a Sales Rep or they aren't offering it for some reasons.
-
let me know if you get one ... -
Also check the link in my sig, it might be of some use to you.

Coupnmountain has a financing deal, I checked it and it works, its for 9 months from what I saw though. Its the third coupon down.

Maybe I'm trippin I couldn't find the coupon, but then again I am on my iPhone. Either way I'm in Canada so I doubt they would work. Should be ordering tomorrow hopefully so I'll see if I can swing the 12 month no interest for sure. And to DR650SE I've already read pretty much all the pages of that thread months ago, truly delightful. I've been a long time creeper before finally making an account. It's nice being able to see pictures in threads now

they keep switching the page around, but now its in about the middle of the page, it says

12 Months No Interest Financing - Submitted by SHANTELL
12 Months No Interest Financing -
Well I talked to one rep on the phone and a few on the chat and couldn't get them to budge on the no interest financing. However I was too excited and bought it even with interest. Wow now waiting for it to arrive will be hell. Here's my specs
I7 740
6gb ram
500gb hard drive
1080P Screen
Ati 5850
Should've been 2200$ cad but got it for 1900$ so as far as Canadian discounts go it seems pretty good. Also got the logitech performance mx mouse for 89 (reg 129), logitech k350 keyboard for 59(reg 69), alienware tactx headset for 46 (reg 76!), a surge protector for 18 (reg 30) and of course Starcraft 2. Wow this is gonna be good.
Something I find funny this laptop will have 12x the ram that the current comp I'm using has haha.
Edit: forgot to mention I got it in Lunar Shadow as well so I'll probably throw up some pics since it's pretty hard to find good silver pictures in my experience -
congrats you will love it

If your low on cash I would not even bother financing a laptop. I financed mine interest free and paid it off after three months. They offer interest free all the time.
