Hey guys, got a question to anyone who bought a refurb from the Dell Outlet website. Has anyone bought any alienware m11x or any others that is marked "scratch / dent"? If so please comment how bad the blemishes are or if they hardly noticeable. Thanks.

If there is a post somewhere regarding this please post the link.

Sometimes you get lucky with Scratch and Dent models, it may be something as simple as a little tiny scratch somewhere on the unit.. OR you could end up with something like i did http://forum.notebookreview.com/alienware/572412-outlet-replacements.html
I bought an m11x refurb from the outlet and it was as good as new, just be careful with scratch and dent, nice thing is that you can send it back with the 21-day return policy.

Wow, sorry that you got that POS. So i guess i will stick to Certified Refurb. Was going to get the M11x Refurb Scratch / Dent for a upcoming graduate but even i can't go that low. Thanks for the post.

My m15x is scratch and dent and has a tiny scratch about the size of a dime on the lid. Its almost unnoticeable. Besides that system looked new the day it arrived.

I bought my R2 from the Outlet. In perfect condition minus ONE little scratch on the lid. It's on the Lunar Silver model, so it's barely noticeable.

I got dell outlet refurb and it is absolutely "new" in every way I can see(visually only, the motherboard and battery are being replaced tuesday haha). I can't even tell anyone had it before me! I know that in my case I didnt have a scratch and dent model, but just thought I would throw my dell outlet experience out there.

I have bought about 5-7 laptops over the years via the outlet

Never had an issue with any of them.

And from what I have seen, Dell is very good about resolving issues with Outlet purchases.

I had one outlet purchase and it died within 7 days.

I then called in for support and they said that the service tag was flagged for non-receipt of items. They REFUSED to support until the "ghost" product was returned to them. I told them I just purchased the unit and they wouldn't have any of it. I finally just called sales and had them return the unit.
