So I returned my dell outlet laptop purchase back to dell about 3 weeks ago. I have still not seen a refund issued for the laptop. I have contacted their CS (looks like it’s all India based) multiple times and get the same response. Please allow 10 to 15 business days for a refund. At this point I am just fed up with their CS. Has anyone had this kind of experience with a dell outlet return? Any suggestions? I have contacted my credit company already. Thanks.

Yes, I do have a tracking number. It was delivered on Nov 26th via UPS. So full 3 weeks. They finally issued me a refund on Monday. Thanks.

I recently also returned a regular Dell item and it took about 4-5 days after it arrived before I saw the refund appear. I've returned other outlet items in the past and never had a problem getting the money back, although it's been a long time other than the recent transaction so I can't remember how long it took. I'd say my overall experience though is that I always get the money -
Their standard response from CS is “10 to 15 business days” after they receive the laptop. The CS won’t do anything for 15 business days. It get escalated to a case specialist after 15 days. In my case that was this past Monday. I contacted my credit card company last week and put the amount on dispute. I also filed BBB complaint on Monday against DELL. Things moved quickly this week with the refund.
I think mine might have been a worse case scenario, but I have heard of folks on reddit waiting a month for their refund.
It should not take this long to get a refund. Hopefully yours will move quickly. -
Well, my refund just showed up this morning... so they got it Monday and got my refund on my CC on this morning Friday.
