Does anyone whose been to an actual Dell Store in person know if they have Alienware models on display (not to buy, just to look at)? I'd really like to get a feel for the size of the M17x.

Not sure where you are located, but I think that Fry's Electronics sometimes have them on display.

I'm in Florida, there's no Fry's. I'd be going to the Florida Mall (that's the only one with a Dell Store).

Nevermind, I just looked up pictures and it's basically a kiosk so I highly doubt they'll have AW.

Our mall Dell kiosk (Raleigh, NC) had an M14x on display a few weeks ago when I was in the mall.

Not all Best Buys have them in-store. I'm in the DC area and my local one did not.

contact them via phone first to make sure they have some on display. Mine local bestbuy has one (M17x, lowest configuration) while Fry's doesn't.

My CompUSA had them! They only had the M14x on display though. It just made my decision to get an M17x much harder because even though the M17x is a powerhouse the M14x is the perfect size for me.

That's actually the one I went to, only the M14x was on display and it was the R1.
