Why is the blackfriday countdown counting up? Is it just me because im from another country?

i've had that page bookmarked for a couple of days now.....

hoping to see some good deals, but im not expecting much

 

It's definitely not just you. It's saying 1 day, 1 hour, and @12 minutes now, counting up, not down.

 

It might as well be counting up, 21 "deals", only laptops are inspirons. ugh

 

not a single alienware system on the list. i expected at least one alienware item but nothing.

No Black Friday deals, but there is a $100 coupon that was mentioned in the AW/Dell Ordering Advice thread still available, but it does not stack with the $50 coupon that Dell has been offering.

I just watched the Outlet store literally empty before my eyes. I hope that was real people and not Ebay stores snapping them up.

 

I read somewhere on dell site that coupons won't stack so for the moment less $100 is what one can get without haggling. Hope they give more like free mouse and warranty upgrades for black friday. Anyone knows if cyber monday will be better?

i was very dissapointed about waiting to buy an alienware this black friday just to find they didnt make any good offer till i saw your post about cyber monday.

Last year AW had the R1 for 599$, which was a spectacular deal. I was hoping to see an R2 i5 for that price or even an R3 (base i5) for 699-749$

 

Yeah, thats the normal day to day deal for the M11x I was hoping for something better as well, heres hoping cyber monday will offer something for Alienware products.

Black Friday, being the day after Thanksgiving, is a USA-only event, isn't it? Do any companies have Black Friday sales that are outside of the USA?

I've been wanting to buy an m14x for weeks...been waiting for today and the deals are pretty disappointing.
Oh well, gonna wait for Monday.

Yeah, but a new card is ALWAYS coming out. IMO too man people worry about having the latest and greatest when in reality most of the new games are either still on DX9c or JUST starting to use DX11. In either case you end up with one HELL of a great laptop.

A quick note about the countdown timer counting up: At midnight EST is when the countdown switched from counting down to up for me. I contacted Dell and asked what was up with it, and they said that they weren't releasing the Black Friday deals for another hour. So basically, the glitch came because of timezones. The Dell countdown timer takes your local time into account, not their time. Once the countdown reaches zero, it will start counting back up again (because it's basically dealing with a negative number, i.e. -5 minutes, -30 minutes, etc.). I'm fairly certain the same thing will happen with the Cyber Monday deal, so everyone who is more than an hour later may experience the counting up thing.

I'm with you there, but from what I've been hearing and seeing there should be some sort of Alienware sale. Now whether the items will be what you're looking for or whether it's enough to make it worth your while, who knows. The $100 coupon is still available until Tuesday 11/29 and while it may not stack with the Cyber Monday sale, ya never know.

Another note: Check the outlet store right before midnight CST and if there is a possible unit there you may want, put it in your cart before midnight. On Friday there were several m14x machines available and right after midnight when people noticed there weren't any Alienware Black Friday deals, every single one of those m14x's disappeared instantly. So if there's an outlet machine that you've got an eye on, don't lose it.

Same here. I'm very disappointed. I was hoping for a little something, but I know as soon as I buy one there will be a killer deal that I should have waited for. Oh well.

The m17x was already starting at $1,499 and with the $100 off that makes it $1,399. Still not a bad deal though.

 

And just like clockwork, no Alienware deals and not a single laptop in the Outlet, even though there were three pages just before that. Hope they weren't all sold to Ebay sellers.

The m17x is to much of a laptop to lug around. I was hoping for a m14x sale on black friday or cyber monday. configuring one now and saving see if I could strike a deal via chat... wish me luck!!!!!

Price was 1240.00 USD before taxes, Plus I got 3 75.00 promotional gift cards for free, because I purchased 3 400 dell gifts, and no you can't combine the promo cards with the dell cards, so I basically bought the alienware mouse and a carrying case for free.

 

I didn't buy any of my alienwares in outlet or black friday....

 

Did you also use the $100 off coupon bring it down to $1140 before tax? Because if so that beats the deal I'm looking at right now which is $1194 for the i7/4gb/500gb HD/900p/1.5gb GT555M/Intel 100 wifi/Bluetooth and $100 coupon.

As I was looking for myself, I thought it would be helpful for the community to post any specific RAM and/or SSD Cyber Monday deals for our Alienware systems found throughout the day. Just apply the coupons at the checkout. The 100 should automatically be applied, but input the code to be sure. The 50$ is for any purchase over 999$. Id link to my source but I'm out on my phone right more.

 

Yo, their are a few decent deals on memory. A 300$ discount on the m17x with 8gb and a m11x 250$ discount on the 8gb? I think can't remember tbh. Easy to find those, google "Alienware m17x/m11x coupons", listed on quite a few sites.
Probably more but I'm just searching for lappys.

Ssd deals I haven't seen unfortunately.

 

I can't seem to get them to work both. One replaces the other. I tried staying above 999 when applying the 50 one. Did u use the one with D95.. for the 100 and the one with BHW for the 50 ? I'm trying on a M11x

 

Alright I'm not 100% but I'm pretty sure the D95 Code is the instant savings on the website. So -$269 for the m11, -$100 for m17x etc. These codes are applied automatically, at least they are on my computer.

EDIT - Sry just read some fine print. The extra -$100 is a stand alone coupon. Doesn't work with anything else. /Slits wrists.

 

After those discounts could you use both coupons ?
