If I could get a maxxed out M18X (don't care about the harddrive or RAM) down to $2600 after discounts I would jump on it but no dice.

Yeah, I have the 25% coupon code but I want to use it on the bare M18x trim, not the maxed out one, cuz I want to upgrade the ram and HDD on my own.

+$100 i7 2630QM

$1294 total

$1194
If you build this exact same machine off of the pre-built one that offers 20% off on graphics upgrades and starts at $1199. It won't let you go down to 4gb of RAM, it'll only let you do 6gb. And if you upgrade to the i7, it costs you $40 to put the RAM at 1600mhz instead of 1300mhz. I think the total ended up being $1359 for the exact same setup except that it has 6gb of RAM instead of 4gb. That's $1259 after the $100 coupon, which is $60 more for only 2gb of RAM. I'll be upgrading it to 8gb myself anyway so it's not worth it. Just build off of the base model.
Edit: Just bought my m14x. Called and asked for a US rep, received a great guy in Nashville TN (I'm in Pigeon Forge, TN). He was able to get me an additional discount although it didn't stack with the $100 coupon. I ended up paying $1164 plus 108.87 in tax for a total of $1272.87. He also upgraded my shipping to 3-5 day for free. -
The $100 coupon expires Tuesday 11/29. Not sure when the $50 one expires, but I thought it was 11/30 for some reason. -
Does Alienware do any after Christmas sales?
-
I read here somewhere that last year they didn't
-
I would have already ordered my M18X is the 25% coupon isn't restricted to just the expensive config, so frustrating.
-
Where is the 25% off coupon located at?
-
It was on Saveology.com. It can no longer be purchased but doesn't expire til the end of January.
-
If you have one I will buy it from you... Name your price.
