download it and install it. Should run just fine.

I personally stay away from eye candy items like this but it should be fine on your system.

Doesn't it look for a Dell Machine? Does it puke when we try to install it on a AW?

    Thanks

Cobra, if you want to try it, run the installer. I have no idea if it will err out or if it will install without issue. Like I mentioned, I don't normally try these dock apps. It cant harm your system in any way I can think of - if it doesn't install just remove the installer you download from the dock site. ;)

Thanks Batboy :). I do think it will error out and was wondering if anyone found a walk around to get this to work. I have seen it on a few screen captures and wondering if it was the Delldock or the paid for version.

I have seen SS of Alienware laptops running Dell Dock, or atleast something similar. In this video for instance. At the top there seems to be a similar program running? Hopefully someone knows what this is?

    Ah that's handy to know.

Shame it looks like there is no support for Windows 7 64 bit. Though I'm sure a workaround exists!

Does this basically solve the OPs question? Or does Dell Dock do things this dock doesn't?

    Hello Mate

Rocket Dock works just fine on 64Bit as I have it installed on my M17 with Windows 7 64Bit

Oh really? That's useful, it says on the Download page they don't yet support it! They ought to update that.

If you want a dock that works with both 64-bit and 32-bit OS, try Nexus Dock at winstep.net. It is free, and is 100% compatible with my Vista x64. Most docks will work with 64-bit OS, but if you try to minimize running apps to the dock, 64-bit apps will not show. Nexus Dock handles both 32-bit and 64-bit apps, as well as all system tray items. I keep my windows taskbar hidden all the time with Nexus Dock.
