Ok, not going to panic. I received my windows 7 upgrade and read up on how to install and downloaded all of batboy's drivers and was ready to go.

Booted from the cd, formatted the hardrive through the cd and installed windows 7 on there. Did not do anything to the 16gb partition as it said it was reserved for oeml.

After 7 was loaded and running, tried to install the first driver from batboys blog- the bios update and after the installation the computer restarted. After restarting all you see is "no operating system".

What do I do? Any help / advice / suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

The bios update changed your hard drive settings (set everything to default).
Just go into bios (F2 at bootup) and set it back the way you had it before (raid most likely)

Could you please explain how to set it up as it was previously?

    Hi mrmidwakh,
If your system was originally set up with raid, flashing the bios turned it off. Press F2 at boot, go down to hard drive, select raid, and save and exit.

    Thanks,
    Gabe

Depends on how many hard drives you have in your system.
I am assuming 2 (for a striped raid array) since the bios update broke that.
Just go to your bios and check your hard drive settings.
If you have 2 hard drives in your system then enable raid in bios and save then reboot and see what happens.

Kind of hard to tell you what settings should be in without knowing the specs of your system.

Go into bios and give it a shot though, can't hurt.

Thanks all for your help :) It was exactly as stated: Flashing the bios put it to its default setting and I had to enable Raid on the drives. Up and running again. Cheers
