    Hi people,
I have been experiencing problems with my m17x shutting down randomly so I tried disabling hybrid SLI and the integrated graphics.
However, when I'm playing games now...I noticed that the max temperature between the 2 gpu's are very different. One at 68 the other at 42. Is this normal?
Btw, my graphic cards are GTX 280m
    Thanks!

The most likely cause here is you are running a game that does not have a valid SLI Profile. Remember, the NV Display drivers currently working with the M17x are outdated. They will not include SLI Profiles for current games. There are solutions of course -

    1. Check my blog (which I will not link to the relevant post - forum rules) for a modded SLI Profile Update (includes MW2, L4D2, Borderlands, etc.) to be used with the M17x NV Display drivers.

    2. Use nHancer to manually set an SLI Profile for the game. See: Glzmo's Guide

One of these two options should put you on the right track. The alternative is to wait until a more current display driver is released or set the profile to Single GPU Mode.

Disabling the 9400M via the BIOS is fine. Just be sure when updating your NV Driver in the future, you re-enable both Hybrid and Integrated Graphics in the BIOS.

More info on the two settings as well as info on HybridSLI can be found HERE.

@ BatBoy: Thank you for the nVidia driver. My MW2 FPS increased dramatically from avg of 60 to around 90. Dual GTX 260 is a warrior and your driver is now his new sword :D
