    sager would basically have the monopoly on high-performance laptop barebones. and monopoly always equals rising prices.

    Er, no. They wouldn't be crazy if they didn't.
    Clevo's releasing a Desktop i7 version of the D900, but that's two quarters away. Mobile i7 isn't due until the end of this year.

    Again, I hate it when people ask "does anyone know what models [company] will bring in?". Because if we knew, we would have told everyone already.

    Of course the 4870s and the QX9400 will be much more expensive than the current config. Alienware has all the rights to jack up the prices, seeing as they are getting such good business now.

    EDIT: Oh, and congrats on the 4k whizzo :D

    what i ment was does any body wanna guess about new laptops ... i know no one knows, but every one has a opinion. i could care less what comes out i just was trying to have a conversation.

    and hopefully AW wont jack up the prices to much :D

    That's a Desktop Quad, right? (in your link)

    I'm guessing a 2.66GHz QC with the multiplier unlocked with a $1300 price tag.
