Hello, just wondering if I have a Killer WiFi card. Looking at my Dell configuration list, I see:

    MW04C1Card, Wireless, KILMERPEAK22
WXK2J1LABEL..., WIRELESS..., BLUETOOTH..., 380, WORLD WIDE..., CSMB
8J8NV0 SERVICE CHARGE..., APPLICATIONS..., WIRELESS..., 6250, WIMAX, ANW
9NWYM0 SERVICE CHARGE..., APPLICATIONS..., WIRELESS..., 6250, WIRELESS FIDELITY..., ANW
CG33M1 LABEL..., REGULATORY..., WIRELESS..., 6250, CNB

These are all the things that are related to my wireless. I don't know why Dell can't just use normal wording to make this less confusing.

    Thanks.

Darn, thanks. Yeah, I thought that the 6250 and Killer could be 2 separate cards since it says KILMERPEAK22. Oh well, not biggie.

    Thanks for your help :).

Look in Device Manager under "Network adapters" and it should be more obvious by looking at the name of your wireless card.

Intel's project codename for the WiMAX 6250 AGN mini-PCIe adapter is Kilmer Peak.

The 6250 will give you way less of a head ache. Killer cards do not play well with Dell / Alienwares. Look up all the threads people have had trouble. I pulled mine out and went with a intel and have not had any problems since. And the Killer went into the garbage...

Thanks for the insights, it's actually known that the killer card has better speeds but the driver support isn't the best one.

From what I can see, Killer cards don't play nice with anything. The problems they have are not unique to Dell/Alienware... just goes with having that brand. I wish Dell/Alienware would stop using their products and stick with Intel WiFi for everything.

I followed the instructions from Luis Porras posted on getting the right driver for the Killer Suite package. Which I found was not installed on my new system (strange) not..
Seems to have helped we will see today.

Very happy with the numbers now. The driver update helped a lot, funny the Killer Suite was not installed from the factory.
