This is getting very furstrating. I am currently playing the witcher, Mass effect, and GTA4 and all are running at 23-33 fps on 1080p. These games are kind of old so do u think i should be running these games at a hight fps. I just recently downloaded the new nvidia driver for 260m and there is no difference.I just recieved my laptop on Dec.21 so do you think they will refund my money. If not can you tell me how to solve this problem. I only got a six cell batterey so i dont got stealth mode on my computer right. Please get back to me.

1- on nvidia advanced settings or
2- on the game settings v-sink must be off

Not true at all... He should be getting 60fps easliy, I do on every game I own with drops into the mid 40s at worst... Either stealth mode is on or his power saving settings are wrong. The stealth mode button is the one that looks like a speedometer in a car

If you are using windows 7 the default power option when I installed 7 was "balanced mode" and I was getting fps in the 50 range still. Go to power saving options and select "more power options" click high performance.

Im almost sure your in stealth mode, it doesnt switch back when you restart. The message you got "Stealth Mode not Support on Battery" only appears when the plug is not in. Make sure its plugged in.

If it says Stealth mode not supported on Battery, it would mean he isnt plugged in at all =/.

    Exactly.

could be he has is AA and AF and all lighting effects cranked but he should be able to run all of those in 1080p with textures and other things on highest and 2x or 4x AA and mild AF setting. I use hardware vsync so I dont have to adjust any vsinc options in game. Also borderlands doesnt have vsync ;p

When I woke up this morning I tried stealth mode thing with success. I don't really know how to turn it on or off but I was getting far more higher frame rates. I can't believe after all these threads about stealth mode I would still have this problemhow do you know if it is off or on?Thanks for the replies.
