I`m fairly new to this scene, from what ive read and heard Clevo seem to be the market leaders in gaming. Do you think Alienware will ever catch them up ?
I like the look of the Alienware but prefer the better reliablity and power of the Clevo, ive not owned either yet. I`m just going off reviews and peoples opinions that ive read, i`m just worried that if i buy an Alienware people might start asking me why did i spend so much on a notebook thats not regarded as the best.
Not sure what to do now, should i go for pose value and buy the Clevo so i can say i have the best and most powerful laptop in the world or do i buy a notebook that is slightly less powerful but has better looks and get the Alienware ?

This has to be the dumbest thread I've seen in awhile...
Vote to close pls.
You realize the M17x holds the world records for both vantage and 3dmark06 for laptops? -
Uhmm your in an "Alienware Forum" so I think you can guess our answers...
Alienware come with top notch components and warranties. Alienware is top of it's class. Name another computer that matches it in build and and gaming power. I'll refrain from flaming you for your ignorant comments. -
-
Be specific in the models of each laptop otherwise you'll just start a flame war.
-
I mean the Clevo can't even touch the M17x when the 5870's come out, as well as the M17x offers RGBLED. -
I read the thread title as "Clevo catching up with AW" at first, then thought it's a typo, but now I see it is not.
However, you'll see that on times different companies will release their computers at different dates. It is perfectly normal that at some point once can happen to come out with a faster CPU, then another company will release their which is faster and so on...
To sum, I really hope AW never catches up with Clevo, since that catch would mean giant step backwards in terms of GPUs and build quality among other things. -

I think he's confused. Title should have been: Will Clevo EVER catch up to Alienware in design, power, build quality and display quality?

I vote this tread closed. Reason I beleave the Op. did not do much research.

Honestly I see zero reason at this point to buy the current Clevo offerings. If someone wants a cheap plastic lunchbox design, they can grab an Asus G73 for cheap. It offers the exact same components as the Clevo, same ugly plastic build (I'd even go as far as saying Asus uses better plastic/rubber), dual fan cooling and exact same display on it's A1/A2 models. The only difference being that Clevo has slightly better cooling than Asus.
If someone wants the best, there's no substitute for Alienware. Best materials used in any gaming notebook, RGB LED, aesthetically beautiful, dual 4870/5870 support, full keyboard, alien fx lighting, next business day warranty etc. You get what you pay for. -
too late. now the clevo clan will show up then thread closed.

Yeah we're going to close this down before it gets further out of hand.
To the OP
You are welcome to repost the question, but I would suggest to rephrase the question to get better responses
(i.e. give reasons and research to support your opinions, not just blanket statements that might or might not be true)
