I've been trying to change my fan speeds on my m15x. speedfan doesn't give me an option to change or monitor my fan speeds. is there a program i can use to run my fan at 100% all of the time?

I don't think there is an option of manual fans control. It is built-in into the system BIOS.
    Do you have high temps?

Speedfan (or probably a similar utility that regulates fan speed, can't remember exactly) worked on my ancient Dell Inspiron 8100/8200. ;)

I'd really love to be able to set all the fans in my M17x to run at 100% all the time as well.

Funny, I was hoping to downscale my fans.

I'm using the ATI Cards and sometimes the fans are on at bootup and never quiet down. They are pretty loud while gaming, but that is a fair trade-off.

Where it bothers me is when I boot to check email or surf and the fans are running at max power for no obvious reason. This is sporadic as well...many times when I boot they are silent unless I start pushing the system.
