    I doubt it, but why not ask Alienware directly? Theirs is the only word that matters.

    On one hand, I wish I had a dollar for every time someone asked this exact same question. I dunno if that information is found on the general info thread, but it should be.

    On the other, RAM & hard disk are upgradeable without voiding warranty.
    CPU & GPU you have to send back to AW.

    If you want to call a rep for peace of mind, feel free.

    Can I suggest that someone write up a sticky for the m15x commonly asked questions? or rather, a FAQ if you will?

    Include things like, overheating, downclocking, RAM upgrades/installation, harddrive stuff....

    basic, commonly posted stuff. y'know... things we see.... Frequently.

    yeah, just did. and those links aren't talking about the issues I see here ALL THE TIME.

    "What RAM should I buy?"
    "Can I upgrade the RAM myself?"
    "What's a Smart Bay thingamajigger?"

    It's SO TIRING.
