    Don't you just hate it when..

    you call Alienware costumer service and it takes someone over 30 seconds to say:
    "Thank you for calling Alienware costumer service department, my name is ... may I have your order or account number please?"

    Sometimes it takes them 5 seconds to say it and other times it take them up to a whole minute.
    After that, it takes them another minute or two to pull out your account.

    Add to that another minute for them saying" For security reasons may I have your phone number and email address".

    It's not a real issue, but I thought I might share it with you for fun because I know you all have been faced with this kind of situation. :D

    Every tech support guy I have spoken to at Alienware says it pretty quickly, and since you know they always ask those same questions just memorize your account number and give em your e-mail and phone and its no big deal.

    Yes, not an issue. Every phone support call requires you to give a name and account number. Call your credit card company some time. Or try to get a human at FedEx to get on a phone. AW customer support has been one of the easiest that I have called.

    if we had to pay for the phone call then that would be a different matter but because its 0800 in the uk and toll free in the states we dont really care as long as they get the problem sorted .

    this is kind of a pointless thread. theres really no point complaining about that. if you dont even have a couple min to spare i doubt you would even be calling customer service. they are just trying to do their job :rolleyes: . i dont really see a problem with it :/ unless you are too lazy to pull out the leather binder. :err:

    :D Hilarious thread. I felt the same as you when I first got my AW last year. But, now I've memorized my account number already. :) Sometimes I don't even let them ask for the account number. I just get straight to business.

    EXACTLY. That's my whole point. I didn't want anything more. Just a funny kinda situation thread. Unfortunately, some guys can't stand having a thread without CPU,GPU, bla bla bla in it.
