    Hi i was wondering is the ESATA port on the M15x also suposed to work as a USB port i tried to plug my iphone into it and it does not work
    or am i wrong here

    yes it does make sure it is being inserted in the correct way

    Yes, and I found this out about a week ago. Damn M17 only has 3 USB ports, so finding a fourth one was a God send.

    Yeah I use a 750GB. Nice to have external storage that performs just like an internal drive (a little faster than many laptop SATA drives too), and I can still switch back to USB2 for compatability.

    yep .....although i notices on both my m17x...that when i hook up the esata ..external there is a delay for it to recognize it

    I have mine hooked up as standard next to my cryo, so seeing as it's there at BIOS, windows treats it more or less as an internal drive,and I dont have any plug in slow down :)
