    @Mr fox @Matrix Leader EVGA Precision X16 crashing Hwinfo64
    Hello all. Had just installed EVGA Precision X version 5.3.7 on my AW17 who have newly installed Windows 10 :eek:. Installed EVGA and reboot my laptop. Started EVGA and saw that everything worked. Then I closed EVGA software and got an error message that Hwinfo64 stopped and respond... Tested this several times with the same bad result. Is there anyone here in the forum who have experienced the same? Is there another version of EVGA which function properly with Hwinfo64 and Win 10? Hvinfo64 is the latest version of the software(not beta).

    Oh, I would not do that. EVGA Precision X is so much more flexible and easier to use for normal everyday overclocking. NVIDIA Inspector is great, too... awesome program for sure, just more of a pain to use unless you work with batch files that you create, and then it's pretty nice to use. But, just way too many mouse clicks for normal everyday on-the-fly changes, LOL.

    @Papusan - below are the versions that are working fine with Windows 10 on my Clevo.

    Thank living encyclopedia :vbthumbsup:. I prefer EVGA because it can save many oc profiles. Is this even a Windows 10 problem? Starting to hate Win 10 already. Before I could do some action with win update, Windows loaded new Nvidia driver (353.62 LoL). Quite perverse :elvis:. Has closed the Win Updates Now. I run Dell Nvidia driver 353.54 for AW laptops. Should not juggle with different Nvidia drivers that I'm risking more than I have already done :no:. Is there anyone who has crashed his Aw display with Dells Nvidia driver 353.54 for Win 10?

    I am not aware of any reports of LCD failures with 353.54... so far.

    I no longer allow EVGA Precision X or HWiNFO64 to update. For that matter, I don't allow any of my software to update unless it has definitions or something like that. Adobe programs, Office, almost all software... if everything works to my satisfaction there is no reason to update unless a feature gets added that I want but do not have. Otherwise, just keep using whatever works well for as long as it works well. That way I don't have to deal with any bugs or problems, simply enjoy using software that works right every time.

    Version 5.3.5 function properly. Thank you. It looks like it is EVGA which is the sinner... Started certainly with version(5.3.6) I think and have been destroyed. Can some say about this bug in the Evga forum ?

    Version 5.3.6
    Release: 7/21/2015

    • Now enabling the OSD ON setting on new PrecisionX installs will automatically enable OSD for GPU Clock, Memory Clock, Memory Usage, GPU Temperature and Framerate.
    • Fix issue with changing OSD color if more than one graphics card.
    • Add RGB LED support for GeForce GTX 980 Ti K|NGP|N edition
    As you can see new Windows 10 is the same junk that Win 8.1... Micro$oft fails to make an OS that has the correct information about the hardware. Same as Win 8. Microsoft has only tinkered a bit on Win 8.1, but done a lousy job. A sad future we're going to get.

    i liked the old version: the one that routed it's stats through RTSS.

    Oh, yeah. That is different. But, since I run HWiNFO64 stats through RTSS it makes no difference. I haven't use MSI AB or EVGA Precision X stats for OSD for probably 2 years because it lacks too much important CPU information and the OSD layout cannot be custom configured as well as using HWiNFO64.
