Sorry i hope this isnt bad to post (please delete if needed), but i was looking on ebay for a laptop and found a 'deal" that they send you something that will let you get a laptop (alienware) for less them msrp. ok.. i can see that, but someone paid 600 bucks for this guide. thats like a guide on how to level in wow.

anyone see something like this or is what screams out to me as a "scam". thanks

Definitely sounds like a scam and I would avoid it. If you want to save money on an Alienware, have you tried shopping @ the Dell Outlet (if in the US)? Or using one of the AW reps on the forums to give you a quote/deal (US-CAN-Euro)? Also, isn't there a 15% coupon (US only? Not sure) going around I thought I saw on these boards?

There's plenty of ways to save on the AW MSRP price. This "guide" has "scam" written allover it and for 600$? I feel sorry for whomever purchases it :p

Yeah I have been seeing those on there, mostly for $200, and people are buying them. Sounds like a scam to me, the same person I seen selling those "savings" guides are also selling Diablo 3 gold guides as well.

But as others as said, you can contact a rep or call dell and haggle down the price if you are looking to buy a computer, there are some guides on this front page.
