I sent him a message about the MIS-INFORMATION. Hopefully no one buys this thinking THIS is what they're getting!

 

It's almost like a cross-breed between the M15x and the M17. I don't think anyone would intentionally do this. I'm going to email him.

lol, well I just wanted to see what parts were available via e-bay such as batteries/smart bays. I saw that there was a BRAND NEW system on there and I had to take a peek.

UPDATE: As of 8:00P.M. Central Time he STILL hasn't changed the specs. He said he would ASAP. Maybe someone should e-mail him as well!

 

Has anyone reported it to Ebay or even email alienware so they can do something. This guy seem to want to scam one of those 6 people.

 

I reported it, then he said he would change the item description. So I recalled my report. I'm thinking a couple of us should report it to BOTH AW and EBAY!

 

nice triple post? AW won't do anything about it and by the time ebay gets around to it he will be long gone , but u mines well report to ebay maybe they will get to it in time who knows....

 

For a seller this is a no brainer. Hes gonna end up destroying his 100% feedback.

For the bidders, they didnt do enough research before buying.

That's pretty much it; sell something that ain't what you described = Death on eBay.

Plus, caveat emptor (Buyer Beware)--if you don't do your fair share of research and buy something, you deserve to be ripped .

I believe after someone bids on your item you can no longer change the description so that may be why he hasn't updated the information, but if it really was a mistake he should opt to have it removed.

 

epic fail ... its really sad how the uber rich get these system because they look cool and have no idea. Unless he stole it and has no idea or He is a scammer. In todays world i can't choose

 

Scammers would give more effort. I think this person is just dumb.

lol sorry, it wouldnt show up last night. NBR at around 2:30am was giving me troubles... oh and btw, im on my NEW M15X!

 

He adjusted the specs but they are still not the real things. Just the MAX specs from Alienware with a bunch of M17 things still. Feel sorry for whoever paid 2100!

To the person who was scammed: The seller contacted me a few times about the sytem. I told him where to go and get information. It was his choice to not tell anyone anything had been misrepresented in the FIRST place. You can call e-bay or submit a claim. This gentleman came off as very ill knowledgeable in the area of computers so please don't leave negative feedback as of yet until it is resolved. Could just be an honest mistake. Contact me personally if you need the messages for documentation.
