Email came from [email protected], I ordered through the Air Forces EPP customer code and entered an APO AE shipping address. The english and spelling in the email is pretty bad just not sure if it is legit or not. The email did have the customer number for my order in the subject line.

Kindly be informed that there's no warranty available for your shipping address
For this reason, and due Dell systems cannot be processed without a warranty, we requested a US physical address so the system can be covered by its warranty.

I don't think it looks shady. The email looks legit and that's how most Dell reps type. They are simply asking you to confirm your address for warranty. Nothing harmful.
-
That looks legit. Where is the bad English?
-
I would just call them to make sure
-
They want a US address and I will not be back in the US until Dec/Jan time frame, so I would like the laptop delivered here to my APO address. I am going to call tonight and see if I can't get it figured out.
Plus my m15X will sell easier over here for around $1500.
I know Dell ships to APO addresses, there is a recent post in here from a guy who ordered one in Iraq and just received it.
Bad English

Sentence looks/reads horrid.
Dito for this one:
We do apologize for the inconvenience incurred, and if you prefer us to cancel the order please reply to this email with the request. -
That's not the type of poor English you see in scam emails. It's usually more blatant. Regardless I would call to make sure.....doesn't hurt.
-
that definitly look like a dell legit indian service center email call it's prolly much better idea any way

This would barely qualify for a passing grade in the English classes I took. -
Called the Dell EPP sales rep I had been communicating with via email and he was able to look it up and there was a problem with the Zip code.
He was able to cancel the original order and we worked out the Zip code issue. Estimated ship date 26 Oct 2010.

The second is just two too many words.
Not what I'd consider 'bad' english, possibly just 1 of 3000 that person sent that day. -
As the OP has resolved the email being questionable, closing thread.
Email from "Dell" looks Shady
