Ok as some of you know i was complaing about crysis performance on this laptop. Then i tried the triple c pack. From my understanding it replaces the enviorment with the same textures over and over. It uses shadows and other effects so you wont be able to tell. It feels like Very high settings and the peformance is good. My minimum fps was 17 max 50 and my average was about 25.You might think that stinks but trust me for this game i feel lucky to have it. I know this is old. Now alot of you might know what that is. But here is a mini guide.

    download this here:

    Now do the following.

    1. extract to desktop via winrar lol.
    2. double click triple c installer
    3. agree to terms.

theese are your settings for 8800m gtx owners.

    1. direct x 9.0 c in vista. ( make sure you right click the crysis icon and click "play in dx9"

    2. select level 3. level 4 looks a bit better but with level 3 you gain 5-15 fps.

    3. install the whole triple c pack and time of day, it looks amazing. also install the custom sound settings.

im running the game in 1440x 900 you could put the res down to gain more fps but imo it will look like crap. also you can put on 2x AA and vsync but it slows down the game a bit. (2-10 fps)

here are the sexy screenshots. theese dont even do it justice. try it for yourselves. good luck :D :D

well I was always of the opinion that crysis was more of a tech demo, which had a long way to go before its code was optimised.

btw looks wicked. can't wait to get it on my machine, just saving up :)

I have used this for awhile. I find that my FPS doesnt really dip below 17 or so like you said but it averages only about 20-23FPS. I have found this game to be severely driver limitd right now because even at medium settings i average about the same. The drivers for our mobile lappys need major work before i attempt to play this game. I really cant play it at the average of 20fps....way too slow for me.

well I installed the demo and yes I know I am not on an m15x but for comparison @1920x1200 2xAA the optimiser recommended high settings and set them.

game looks amazing and plays smooth, will have to try the full game though
    167.34 drivers (I think)

just uninstall fraps because that thing spoils the framerate, even causing pausing in the game on my machine (demo of crysis)

wish i could but i dont think the console works with vista i tried everything. after further testing i still think this is the best way to play crysis. sure the colors are not the best but compared to medium this is amazing imo. i will admit though in some cutscenes (only ones with alot of ice) i get 8 fps.

one more thing to add. on 2 of the levels so far like 2/20 for me. where there is a lot of mountains , trees, buildings, helis, boats, etc all firing at you there is lag.as low as 8 fps. but since its only 5% of the game i dont really care.
