So my Alienware M17x-R2 finally shipped saturday, but I noticed it went from the Build stage traght to the Boxing stage. I did have an expedite on my order so maybe thats why, but isnt testing the system important? Did my system really not get tested before it shipped?

I've never seen "test stage" in between production and boxing. I believe they do all the testing in Production stage (if they do any testing that is) . Correct me if I'm wrong. That's what I saw with my M15x.

i'm sure they did the test during the build stage, when adding os and other stuff. so don't worry.

It is hard to pinpoint test satge because it only lasts a couple of hours but it does exist

Most likely they run AW/Dell Diags for one pass and if everything passes they call it good, unless they actually have the room to let them burn-in for say 24hrs, which I doubt. You shouldn't worry, most likely everything will be fine.
