    Hi everyone
I just thought it would be a good idea start a thread based on how much we appreciate Alienware and all their efforts on this forum. Alienware Armando, James, and Frank have been diligently working with all of us on this forum, and I'd have to say they're doing a great job. I just wanted to extend my personal thanks for for all the hard work they've done to keep me a satisfied Alienware customer.

    Thanks,
    Gabe

I haven't had much in the way with contact with Alienware (as my 9750 is a flawless machine), but I have to say that I am very pleased with my purchase, and would happily recommend the machine to anyone looking for a good, powerful laptop.

I would like to thank Alienware for the delay in my gift card ordered on 5/27/2008 and delivered on 6/12/2008 because my GIFT CARD was stuck in Phase 2 :confused2:

I would also like to thank Alienware for the delay of my laptop that I have ordered on 6/12/2008 and has been stuck in Phase 8 :err:

    Thank you,

Is this in the spirit of the topic of your thread? :swoon: :twitcy: :twitcy:

i thank Alienware for not letting the m9750's be cursed with disasters as i love my notebook (and i thank them for the AWESOME looking cases the m9750's sport)!

but other than that, i really hope the Alienware reps on this forum are in fact helping as they say they are. if you guys are, i really apprieciate the kindness and care that you all have for your customers, even though occassionally some of the decisions and speculations made on the company's behalf angers me.

I would like to make it quite clear that the purpose of this thread was to thank Alienware for their work. Please keep all negative comments out. This is not an opportunity for you to complain in a sarcastic manner.

Thank them for what? You pay for a product and expect it to perform without problems or issues. If anything they should be thankful that people continue to purchase their product.

While my overall experience with Alienware hasn't been all giggles and sunshine, I do thank the representatives on these forums who are actually paying attention. Jame's help, in particular, has been invaluable.

They participate on this forum in an attempt to put out fires. That's the only reason they're here. It was dictated to them as one of their job duties. It's simple marketing (at least as far as putting out fires). So yes, they DO have to be here. Don't kid yourself or anyone else on this forum. It's business. Been there, done that.

I'll thank them when my laptop reaches phase 4. With that said, I still can't wait for my m17x to arrive. It'll be nice having a Ferarri laptop rather than the HP DV9000T I purchased last year.

Blowing sunshine up the hard drives of the Alienware staff is not going to help, letting Alienware hear both the good and the bad will help more than anything.

I mean for me waiting that long for a simple gift card stuck on Phase 2? that is SILLY, they need to know that so they can fix the simple things.

Hell the charge was showing on my credit card already and the gift card was STUCK in Phase 2, then I called to cancel the order and the card was Fed EXed NEXT DAY!, that tells me it was just sitting on someones desk who was not doing their job.

    ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, thanks though

I appreciate the help Alienware James gave me when I recieving e-mails from two different CSs who were giving me completely different information about what was going on with my laptop. He really helped clear things up. Whether or not he's paid to be on his board, I was in a position where I didn't know what was going on with my laptop, and he provided some useful information for me. Still, that fact that I was recieving two diffrent stories from two different customer service representatives is a quandry all in itself.

Regardless, I think all of us can agree Alienware has one hell of a system in their m15x and m17x. They're borderline supercomputers compared to every-day laptops. For that, I thank them.

I also thank them for creating such sexy notebooks. Mine will be the eye-candy of the inspection turnaround trailers at the refineries I work at, and will quench (at least temporarily) my dangerously overclocked eccentricity. Man I can't wait for that laptop.

But it's no secret to anyone now that the reason we are so friggin upset is the backordered parts ... the backordered parts ... the backordered parts (and some issues with the m15x).

To run out of your supply is just bad business, and it results from poor planning and poor forecasting; one of the biggest no-no's there is in business as a matter of fact. You don't allow yourself to run out of your product ... ever.

If Alienware can get their issues with the planning and sales forecasting taken care of (it just takes a little market research), then they should be able to make future customers very happy.

Learn from your mistakes, Alienware. Oh, and get our supercomputers on the Fed-Ex trucks; my brain is on the verge of hemorrhaging from excitement.

PS: Okay, I'll admit it. I've never had more fun waiting for something in my life. That's a fact! The excitement is killing me.

I see the very well respected Chaz has shut down the "anti-thanks" thread which also let's people express their feelings about A.W. Just like this is the other side of the coin to that thread which is here.

I will never post or view again on this board. I live in America where we have the freedom of speech and can express our opinons without fear of reprisal.

It seems the Moderator of this board doesn't agree and feels abliged to shut down opinions he doesn't agree with.

I do not believe in censorship especially when it comes to peoples opinions and their own experiences. What the h***! Nobody was violating the rules, cussing or making attacks on anyone.

I'm sure some valid sounding justification will follow. The justification for censoship always does.

    So long and good luck

I can understand why you're upset, but the American Constituion doesn't rule over the internet. Chaz is our moderator, and I suggest you pm him (along with anyone else who disagreed with his decision) in order to express your opinion of having it reopened. Be proactive! Fortunately for us, we live in a much different time than you're describing, and we don't need you to be our James Howe.

But since you're not going to view this board ever again, maybe it's for the best?

if chaz was really going to censor anti AW things then this section would of gone down a long time ago. most of the stuff posted here are problems so i think thats negative enough. imo that thread was really kind of useless.

Well, the other thread was put there because when a complaint was posted here, some got upset. I should not have even made that thread and I am lucky I did not get banned.

I run a forum myself and I tell our members, type out your post, read it, DO NOT HIT SUBMIT, walk away for a few minutes then come back and read it again, if you still think what you are about to post is ok, then hit the submit button, otherwise, delete and move on with your day, I should have followed my own rules.

I would not have banned someone for the thread but I would have sent a PM to them, like I got this morning. I was told my signature had to many lines, the max is 4 lines, well I had the phases posted so I was up to phase 9, which left me with about 12 lines total. Now we all know there are several people here who have more than 4 lines in their signature, but they were not being a dickhead like I was,,,,,,,,,,, I created a "target rich enviroment" and I was said target. I reduced my signature and complied.

Maybe , maybe not, a few of us got it going for a spin, clean the thread and let it ride.

The reason the anti- thread was closed was for the simple reason it wasn't useful - it would be a rehash of what's already been stated about Alienware n times on this forum.
We ban on an objective basis around here, so you wouldn't have been banned for creating a thread like that. Now if it was spam, that'd be another thing. ;) In case you're unsure of anything, be sure to refer to the forum rules.

Totally agree with the second point.
