Extending my warranty

So I've got about 2/3 of a year left in complete care warranty for my laptop so I decided to call up to extend my warranty for my m17x

1 year - $279
2 years - $343
3 years - $439

They said if i wait till later it would cost a lot more to get my warranty extended. Was wondering if these prices are good and if they're telling the truth about it costing much more to upgrade later. What kind of qoutes is everyone else getting?

 

If those prices are right they are pretty good.
I waited till after I bought this one had to pay 786.00 for 2 year of reg warranty and 3 years of complete care.

Only had 1 year so they said had to buy 2 more reg warranty then add the 3 year complete care on top seemed like a lot.

I believe he means that he had the default regular warranty and wanted to both extend it and upgrade, so he had to extend both the regular and then upgrade the plan on top of that.

So therefore he has three years warranty complete care.

 

I bought 3 year "next business day on site" warranty yesterday in UK and it only cost 179.99£ so it's preety good price, I had only 29 days left from my regular warranty

 

You should also be able to haggle on the warranty a bit.

Tiger is correct..thought it was a lot but then it covers everything and who knows what can happen to a laptop in 3 years

Looks like I better grab this deal, guess the additional 5870 xfire will have to wait. I'm sick of waiting for it anyways it literally has been delayed for over a month now.

If I am on complete care warranty and move outside of the US, say join the military. Then is the warranty still valid? or is it only cover the US?

 

It stays with the laptop unless you transfer it to another one, so I'd say yes go's with you. You will have to send it in for repair if none are in your area but that is expected.

Damn, the price they quoted me did not include complete care. It's ok I went with it anyways, don't think I'm accident prone and I can make do without accidental protection.

Extended for 3 years NBD Warranty for $439 + Tax, also get a $75 gift card which I have no idea what I'm going to use it for. For complete care it would have been like an additional 250 dollars or so.

 

Extended my warranty today, 361 including tax for the one year completecare, and also got a 50 dollar gift card.

 

I just paid $302.00US for my 1 year warranty w/o Complete Care. I think that the price for warranty is justified, it's like purchasing a super exotic sportscar and having to pay the luxury tax lol!!
