I am using an M15x alienware computer that is a little over 1 year old and when Ive had it on for a day the core temperature heats up to around 60-70 Celsius. When I've been playing games for a large part of the day the core temp heats up to 80-95 celsius. I'm pretty sure this is way too high, so if anyone has any suggestions on what I should do to make my computer cooler I would be very thankful. My processors are Intel core2 duo CPU T8100 @ 2.10GHz

Hmm, looks like you have heat disipation issues. First thing I would try is blowing out the vents and fans with a good hard shot of compressed error. If that doesn't help then I would take the laptop apart and replace the thermal paste on the CPU/Heatsink and clean out the computer with compressed air. If that still doesn't work I would contact dell assuming it's under the warranty. Those temps are too high, and my guess is if you ran something like intel burn test you would hit the thermal shut down point.

I had this a few weeks ago and it turned out that the fan that cools the CPU had failed, when you stick your hand at the back left hand side do you feel any air coming out there? If not, that might be your problem

Nothing to worry about, I'm certain that dust is blocking the exhaust grate. Simply remove the bottom panel of your M15x, turn it upside down and blow compressed air into the vents.. dust should safely be pushed into the fans and out of your laptop.

thanks guys im going to get some compressed air and blow out the dust, if that doesn't work ill try the thermal paste idea. thanks again
