Hey everyone i got a fake "My PC Information" from Dell... I am cheezed off right here.

I looked at "My PC Information.XML"

I got a bit suspicious when i saw a lot of stuff got rubbed off from the top and surprisingly i saw:

Customer Name: Schenker Australia Pty Ltd

Wth is going on here i heard Dell/Alienware have been doing this before but it has just happened to me. Who the hell is Schenker Australia pty ltd?

Could someone from Alienware please PM me urgently to sort this out.

Customer Information: SCHENKER AUSTRALIA PTY LTD
    Customer Account Number: XXXXXXX

This is not my info and i am cheesed off that they copy pasted another customer's info and pretended they did a 3Dmark on my systerm:

I saw this same problem on another thread but i cant remember who started that thread now can someone please from Alienware PM me now?

Why did they copy/pasting someone's info over mine? Too lazy to run a freaking 3Dmark06 Program????????

I am in New Zealand yeah i did google Schenker it's obvious to me that Schenker probably got kids they bought this laptop for some how someone was too lazy to do a 3Dmark06 on my machine so they copy/pasted Schenker's info over mine but forgotten to replaced their name with mine.

It's not a big deal to me but in New Zealand and Australia it's against privacy law and probably come down as fraud as well.

Probably some dodgy chinese dude was too lazy and thought he'd get a step a head by doing that but looked to me like he shot himself in the foot because he forgot to replaced Schenker's info with mine.

So it was all innocent? Why did they put customer's name as Shenker and not mine?

If this is the case on my m15x it has my name on it not Schenker. So i would like a formal explanation why they put some dude's company name over my info.

Does your service tag on the bottom of the system match what the document says?

I have no idea what the service tag is or where it is?

i could easily track down the Customer's Accountant to sort this out if Dell/Alienware did a dodgy on me/Schenker

well Dell is not as personal as AW TBH

AW maybe didn't use them , i do not know

but i do know AW was a little more personal because their base was alot smaller dell uses mass production ways....

The service tag is located on the bottom of your system (white sticker).

In your first post you mentioned the customer account # (which you have properly deleted). Does that match?

Ooo just looked closer at mine and I've got a different customer name to my own, it's "Tilburg, Netherlands Dist Center"

Had my laptop a few weeks now, and this tiny mistake from alienware hasn't affected my life at all

Edit: And service tag matches what they've put as customer account number

I am curious now if other Dell customers got this problem too. LAst time i bought from AW direct.

Anyway i am going to get the truth from Schenker tomorrow going to ring their Accountant or Purchasing Officer.

Hate to break it to you guys, but mine said ECFC Nashville, TN - which is Dell's East Coast Fulfillment Center.

Basically, they are using Dell's logistics points (where the system is shipped to from the Xiamen factory) as the names in the file....

the process is prolly automated because they put where ever it ships out to in the blank AW used to do this but they made the systems in the US which means it always went directly to them ;)

    You should...

Check your BIOS for your service tag if the sticker is missing....

It'll have both an express service code and a service tag...

OK sorry for raising something like this because my first laptop m15x had my real name as customer info not logistic info.
