Hey boyos, I had a weird issue last week with my both of my gtx280m fans. Playing Operation Flashpoint 2, maxed settings and using MSI afterburner (RTSS really) to display temps and fps in-game. Usually my cards fans will kick in at varying speeds between 68 and 75 degrees and keep the temps down around 65-66 degrees in game (that's with a cryo running). It was up to 91 and climbing and not a peep from the fans. Restarted, same thing. Uninstalled, wiped and reinstalled the 186 drivers from Dell and restarted, same deal. Uninstalled again and tried the 179 drivers it shipped with and voila, fans have worked perfectly again since. Anyone else had this issue come up with fans not kicking in properly with the 186 drivers? I am not using Afterburner for anything other than the in game displays, no fan speed changes or anything, but that is the only other thing I could think of that may possibly affect the fans like that.

I had much improved perfomance with the 186 drivers and would like to get them back in again, but not at the cost of my viddies :) Thanks all!
