Sounds cool. But best to Contact Alienware support to make sure it will not void your Warrintee.

 

they're just adhesive skins. won't void warranty that way. Only if you meddle with internal componants too much.

 

The skins are completely safe. They don't prevent service or interfer with the operation of the computer. The skins just simply apply to the top of the casing.

Nice find but not sure if i think i would rather just have the sleek silver look, however the matrix one is pretty sweet

I actually applied the matrix skin to my m9750. It looks pretty neat. The only part that didn't fit was the skin for the LCD bezel.

Some of those are soooo awesome! i'll probably pick one up with my m15x when I get it.

 

I've seen those before on eBay. I thought that some of them looked nice, but they kinda defeat the point of owning a sleek looking notebook like the M15x. I wouldn't want to apply anything to it.

 

too bad it wont work on skullcap... or else i might get one.

I imagine that version of the skins will be coming shortly. It takes them a while to get the patterns right. I'm looking forward to the time when they support the skullcap.

However, there is one that appeals to me, though, the red biohazard one that kinda reminds me of Resident Evil.

skins only look good on dark notebooks imo... or els they look just like stickers.

If i get a rip black m15x i may get one of the guns pattern ones... reminds me of Metal Gear Solid.

It's not radioactive... It's biohazardous! It was also the one that captured my eyes.

What if when you decide to take them off, they will take paint off as well?
As anyone tried one of this?

i read a review of that. the review was pretty negative. i think i might be able to find the review.

if i recall correctly it did not stick properly and it does not exactly fit the m15x very well.

Mmmmm.... Heathkidd. I'm a MGS person too. I prefer the 1st and 2nd PS2 titles in the series best, because the 3rd (Snake Eater) went too complex and political. MGS2 would have been a bit better without Raiden in it too. Remind me to take a pic of my rare 12-inch Sniper Wolf toy with material clothing that sits cross-legged on my shelf sometime. She was always my fave character (but her voice casting was so much better in the PS version than on the Gamecube remake).

And that biohazard sticker is cool and all... but like Heath said, stickers like that would look better on a black laptop. You'd see the uber-shiny sides of the M15x peeking out between the stickers and it would look a bit naff. Also, the touchpad is a novelty in itself by being seamless, and these stickers would really detract from that.

(How much would I love a Cookie Monster one though!)

I was just going to get a back decal from www.decalgirl.com however these are designed just for the m15x and cover everything.

Really think I might end up getting one of these.

I do this kinda thing with just about all my major electronic purchases. I like everything to be well... pink.

i dig the carbon fiber look, awsome!
but putting on sticker that size makes me worried about not having it properly on..

 

the skins of these are very bad quality. I have done a review on them already. the stickers dont even fit right. I use the word sticker very strongly. They are not protective coverings whatsoever. THEY ARE CRAP! they also have bad reviews ie if they send you the wrong design, you have to pay for shipping back the exchange it.

ah, ok. hmm, oh another thing i could mention is that the immages were orriginally made for all the small handheld devices and then they are rescaled to fit the laptops. this means that they are really grainy and poor quality. the colours looked faded from the start. I would have hated to see it in a week.

If anyone wants to decorate their laptop, buy CLEAR vinyl printer paper and make your own and cut to size. you can even get non residue ones. these are much better quality than this company.

Although some pieces may come a little off size, that's no reason to bash the company. I ordered a matrix set for my m9750, and I thought the quality was fine. They are 3m vinyle, so I'm not sure how you can get any better than that. As far as the quality of print, I didn't see any problem with it. Unlike a sticker, these are actual vinyle applications that also have a clear layer on top. Everyone can use their best judgement when buying. Or if they have any comments or concerns, they can contact the seller or store directly.

But I got one of these. Regarding the previous poster who said they are of poor quality. The seller does have a 97% positive review so it makes me think your experience may have just been an unlucky one. Nevertheless I'll find out when I get mine.
