First: Shockwave or Flash or whatver it is always crashed when I try to play a youtube video. (it also freezes the internet explorer page as well, and it crashes in chrome).
Second: Games like Warcraft 3 never open, they just keep loading on a black screen and nothing happens.
Why would this be?
(Also note: This is still the laptop recently opened. There has been no BIOS upgrades or any such sort).

The game issue seems odd...Try updating the graphics drivers (we can give you help with that if you need it) and if not you could try a complete reinstallation of Windows that will almost definetely fix it. It definetely doesn't sound like a hardware issue.

youtube has caused some inconsistencies on my M15x also. It occasionally makes me force quit/restart of internet explorer. Its not all the time that this happens, and I think its certain videos that do it....but it does cause freezing issues in IE.

try using chrome, or firefox? usually solves any browser problems i have.

I would say...ensure stealth is off and then check your virus software. I had to change some setting in bitdefender and malwarebytes to get my blu-ray player to work properly (and since that is video, it could be what is affecting your youtube videos...)

Oddly enough, Blu-ray players play perfectly, and without a hitch. Same as any other videos. This seems to be related to flash or something... which is odd.
I shall try updating the graphics driver first, so if you could help with what to do EviLCorsaiR, that would be great.
Would really like to do that before I go ahead with a windows reinstallations (which I would probably need help on as i've never done that either). -
you have ATI or Nvidia card?

He has an M15x with a 260M GTX. Jubbing, if you need any help feel free to PM me. The youtube issue you are having could be browser related as others have suggested. Also, you do not need shockwave to play the videos, just the normal adobe flash plugin (which firefox will automatically notify you to install).
What programs have you installed on the system since you got it? It could be a conflicting program (e.g. antivirus) or setting. The Windows reinstall is a simple one if you choose to restore to factory settings (I can point you to a Dell guide) but that is probably not necessary. -
