Here is what I have configured based off of my vigorous reading of this forum for an M15x, placing the order tomorrow.

    M15x with GTX 260m, i-7 820 processor, 4gb 1333 ddr3.

    My questions are

    1. How well does the GTX 260m perform in actual real world gaming? I have been reading some reviews that are making me question if I should just go with a G73 instead for the better card.

    2. Can the 260m be upgraded at all to like a 280m or another, higher quality card at a later date?

    3. Is 4gb of ram enough for gaming? Am i going to notice huge improvements bumping to the 6 or 8?

    4. Is bumping to the 820 processor worth it over the 720? or would the money be better spent adding more ram or buying a computer with a more powerful card?

    Thanks for any help offered!

I'll try answer what i can with my knowledge, i'm not an expert.
    1. not to sure as I don't have mine yet, but on benchmark tests it beats my current desktop which handles all current games fine, though i need to configure cryisis a little, still looks good though =)
    2. don't know sorry
    3. 4gb will be fine for many years, even on a game like cryisis when my graphics card was brand new, playing it on full graphics the 4gb (3.1) could handle it fine, in about 5-10 years if games need anymore you can always upgrade it but anymore at this moment would be a waste imo.
    4.don't know again sorry

    Hope this helps

1 The GTX260M is great. the 280M is better.

    2 Yes

3 No you aren't going to notice.

4 In this case yes, but in my opinion it's not worth the extra money. Not for gaming at least. A few games benefit from it, but other applications would benefit more - video, 3D etc.. I saw several benchmarks between the 720 and 820 with the 260M and there was only a slight difference in most games..

google for yourself and you will mostly find the answers yourself :)
