    How it going everyone,
I'm sure you'll all laughing right now (being that I've threatened to kill the laptop more than once), but I think I've resolved some issues with some games.
First of all, there's Crysis. Although it does play, you often get the sound loop or sound shutter. I found that if you just install the game and patch 1.1 (Do no install patch 2 or above), the sound loop or sound shutter doesn't happen as often. You might even actually begin to enjoy the game. However, this doesn't resolve the popping and crackling. But I'd take popping and cracking over an island full of people with a stutter problem.
Second, there's UT3. UT3 is playable, but it often gets choppy for no apparant reason. I've found that if you install the game and choose to play directly afterwards, it will have you replace a whole bunch of .ini files. If you accept all the changes, and then instal the UT3 patch, life is good. The Choppiness goes away.
Third, for some weird reason, if you use the AW sound drivers and try to play a youtube video (or any other audio) while scrolling in Internet explorer, the sound skips. This can be resolved by installing the sound driver from the sticky at the top of the forum.
Fourth, If your gaming performance is less than poor, give the 174.16 drivers a try (there isn't a better driver......I've tested them all). The 174.16 driver is found at the top of the forum with a sticky. Also, I would recommend completely restoring the computer from scratch if you choose to install it. I know that everyone praises the driver sweeper on guru3d, but I found that drivers still get conjested as you switch back and forth. Find a driver you like and stick to it.
Fifth, if you have strange screensaver freezes, don't use windows screensavers. Life got better when I used a third party one. I'm not sure why this is, but it seemed to fix it (possibly a video driver/mouse problem).
