Basicly a few people have no computer due to the Parts on Backorder. Thing you should do. If your computer work with Minor issues. Like exiting to sleep mode and have the computer shuts off. Or Wireless internet stop working after exiting sleep mode reboot os. Sound not working. Keyboard lighting not workiing.
Before you send your laptop Back start asking qustions.
1. If the tech think it so and so Part Let take Motherboard. Have them Email the repair Shop and see if there a replacement Motherboard for your Laptop and have them do a call back.
2 If the Tech can not do this. Explain to them you need the system. Less then a few weeks. 3 weeks at the Most. Have them send the system back. Untel the replacement part is available. (that if the system can be used)
3 If the tech says it not possable ask to talk to a superviser. I had one go they will not be able to do anything or it will not matter. Then explain the issue to the superviser.
4 If your system been at the Repair shop for a long time like a month. Check when part will be in. If it on backorder and you can use your system. Ask to have your system sent back to you.
Even with my system not at 100% I can still use it. So it being sent back to me untel the part is available. Then I can send it in again get it fix and get the system back.
my M17x
1 Keyboard lighting went out the frist day sent it in after a few months of troubleshooting
2 Sleep mode Issue Apci Error System shut off
3 Part of the keyboard lighting only show Yellow White or Blue. Other colors would not work.
4 Still waiting for laptop after a Month. Motherboard on Back order.
I talk to a superviser they are sending the laptop back so I can atleast use it and when the part comes in I will be able to send the laptop in for the repair.
