With in a week of getting and playing Crysis and WoW on my M17x. My frame rate has dropped so low, I can't play any of those 2 games. I did a memtest and the memory is fine gpu doesn't go above 42*c all 4 core of the Q9000 stay between 40*c and 50*c. I don't know what else to test to see if I can get it back to normal/higher frame rate.

By any chance did you unplug it or accidentally put it into stealth mode?

GPU should be higher than 42c if your gaming, more like 72-75c? Have you tried disable the 9400?

I do have the 9400m disabled. i have Hwmonitor running in the back ground. when I shut down the games, the gpu temp is down to 40*c by the time the game exits. I have a nice aluminum laptop cooler sitting under it to help keep it cool.

update: Full power mode wasn't on, lol. I pushed the little rpm button on the touch pad and now every thing works fine. Thanks for the help though.

Post #4 of this thread. Sounds like you're just fine. I wouldn't expect two 280's to be much different then on 260 since the cooling system was designed pretty well.
