So I ordered my M17 from alienware when they were closing them out, and I ordered it with a P8400 and a 160 GB hard drive,

I checked the order earlier and its being delivered tomorrow, but was built with an X9100 and a 320 GB hard drive instead. Also upgraded are the wireless card, bluetooth that I didn't order at all.

Is this normal or just a case of missing parts and needing to get rid of some extra stock?

    Either way - I'm ecstatic.

LOL, I always check. Guess I'm just paranoid because I always expect the companies to take advantage of me the other way...order the 9100 and they'll try to stick me with an 8600.

Not that it's ever happened, but I always check!
