Was wondering if it's possible to utilize the IGP on these CPUs in M17X-R2?
-
The chipset doesn't support it.
-
Intel IGP on Intel CPU placed on Intel chipset build for that CPU = Doesn't support... Funny and sad.
-
I'm not asking for the luxury of hybrid switching BTW, just a simple BIOS switching, locking the GPUs/ unlocking the IGP,...that's all. I'm sure this option will be enabled eventually.
-
Yes, not supported with PM55. Don't know if that can be changed in the future.
QM57, HM57, and HM55 (think Asus G73) = IGP supported
PM45, PM55 = No IGP support -
If I can't squeeze 2-2.5 hrs of battery life out of it, will go 920XM and join the benching team -
btw on trustedreviews appeared this article http://www.trustedreviews.com/cpu-memory/review/2010/02/18/Intel-Core-i5-661/p1
me interesting this
i'll definitely go to i5-540M but only with IGP supported.. otherwise i'm stuck with my R1 -
These are the desktop CPUs, but alas, the same situation is in our sector... I guess there will be no support for IGPs on PM55...
