So this morning out of nowhere and after waking up the laptop I notice the temperatures on the GPU were 90C an climbing on Idle! so I rebooted the laptop and loaded a couple of other temp programs just to verify and they all showed temperatures of 90+ C! I obviously turned it off....

Before I call Alienware I figure I would pick your brains out... any ideas other than both fans going? (I don't even hear the fans spinning faster than usual which leads me to believe that indeed they are out)

Weird I left it off for a while turned it back in and now it's back to normal.... maybe the fans are going bad... then again it was on idle and 90C, that cant be right even without the case fans working... unless they were the GPU fans? any other ideas?

nothing comes to mind for me

I picked up and turned my M17x with the fan running and it made an awful noise (like the bearing got off center or something). Shut down and restart set it back to normal though
