    hi all
ive been hardcore gaming and my middle fan is going at warp speed but my 280m's are at a nice 40oc.
does anyone know why this is ??
there is enough cool air all around the laptop, am just stumped.

approx 80oc, i know that's Ok but why is it so high ? on cpuid it shows the integrated gpu at 80oc, where my 280m's are at a cool 40oc.

Did you try the undervolting guide?

Also maybe you need to clean out the dust and apply new thermal paste?

I know my CPU would offen hit 85C, after new thermal paste it went down to 74C. after undervolting 62C.

that could solve your prob :)

yeah ive applied ocz freeze paste about a week ago.

i have tried under clocking to but that runs my games and apps slow and that's annoying.

i use an air duster every 2 to 3 days and my laptop sits on a laptop raiser.

its strange that when am gaming my motherboard get hot whilst my gpu's (280m's) are cool.

if your integrated is 80c and your 280's are 40c, that tells me you're running on the integrated not the 280s.

they are on, my sli is enabled and its on boost.
plus playing new games in a moderate rez is good,
if i was just running the 256mb gpu the game would run very slow.

    I didn't say underclock, I said undervolt.

keep your CPU frequency the same, just change the voltage.
    follow the undervolting guide.
