Just a heads up, the 280M is simply a die shrink of your 8800gtx. They are both based on the G92 chip, with the difference being the 280M is a G92b 55nm part. Biggest difference here, clocks and efficiency. Architecturally identical in the chip, meaning SLI shouldn't see gains any bigger than those seen with an OC of your 8800 GTX's.

Nvidia is just now getting around to putting a true GT200 chip in a notebook, and is only able to muster up mainstream parts until the GT200 die shrink takes form later this year. Who knows what their gonna call those cards... GTX 290M? lol

When I first played MW2 I got an average of 40-50FPS, full res, maxed settings, 4xAA which is too low in comparison with MW1 often reaches 90-110FPS. Then I install the BatBoy mod to get SLI on MW2 and I see a HUGE improvement. FPS gains to around 80-100. So I think SLI is worth it, especially for newest games.

On this computer if you don't go SLI it would be an awful waste of space.
