Hey guys, abit of advice needed as i'm totally confused.
I downloaded BC2 last night and was getting 50fpc medium details on 1600 x 900.

i noticed abit of throttling so attempted to go through the rivertuner gpu fix that is on the M15X throttling thread.

...i have either messed it up or it hasn't worked for me as now i get this when gaming..and my fps is around 30/20

    " throttle it's speed from the default 575/950/1350 to 3D clocks of 383/301 "

So i'm stuck in the 3D clocks of 383/301...would the best way to fix this be in retrying the throttling fix again? would the gpu fix work without the cpu fix? :S

I have managed to use rivertuner to now change to the default clocks....

However, every time I restart the M15x I have to repeat it as it doesn't seem to 'save' that setting :S I tried removing the battery and holding down the alien head for 15 secs then re-starting but it didn't make a difference

I am having exactly the same problem. Could you tell me how you even got those clocks set? RivaTuner forgets everything the instant I select OK.

    Hey Hob,
i take it you have looked at the first page of the M15x throttling thread? Follow Joker's instructions regarding rivertuner...the only way i have got to this stage is by making sure i click on the 'tick' next to the option as it then works....

    I'm still having to re-do it every-time i start up the M15x though :(

My driver just started to be unresponsive too a few mins ago :/ .....running 197.16

Thanks for pointing me in that direction :) I got it to work.

What I did was Download EVGA Precision, load that up, then select 'apply at windows startup'. Then, i went into rivatuner, applied those settings from the throttling thread, but kept force performance on. Then I restarted, and the card started and kept running at default clocks. I opened riva tuner again, this time turning it off, then restarted, and now it works properly. Hope that helps at all (Btw, we have literally the same specs on our m15x's, what a coincidence :D)

Try taking out the MOBO battery then do the power button reset trick.

Hmm, that happened to me twice. Are you overclocking your GPU by any chance?

What exactly happened to you if you don't mind me asking Villosa?

I haven't over clocked my gpu... just want to get to my default clocks! haha :D

Just about to take out the mobo batt then take it from there

Well once and a while my clocks will be stuck like yours even without gaming. I once had major stuttering in madden and when I exited it was at those clocks. I tried forcing Precision to up my clocks to stock but they wouldn't apply so I simply restarted and it went away. I figured it was just a glitch with the drivers. Not sure why yours wont reset itself even after doing the power drain trick.

Is it worth thinking about restoring to its factory state? May default the clocks? which would be exactly what i wanted.......

Wow that's weird. I'd recommend uninstalling your current driver at device manager, then clean using driver sweeper, rebooting into safe mode, running driver sweeper again and reinstalling your driver. I do that for every GPU driver install I do, keeps the older versions from glitching the newer ones.

As you can see above, the default clocks are back :)

Thank you Villosa! ...do you reckon it was just a driver glitch then?

    And one more question :D
As long as the gpu is not running a game etc will it down clock to 200/119/400? ie, as powermizer?

    Thanks for your help! :D

Ah, now that's what I like to see! Yes my clocks are at 200/400/119 right now. I'm glad you got it sorted out. Drivers can be buggy yes, but it's generally fixed by installing them right or simply restarting lol.
