During gameplay, Gears is giving me some framerate drops during shootouts and other instances that make the game unplayable. I have 2 gigs of RAM, 2.0 ghz processor, and a single 7950 graphics card. I currently have the 174.16 drivers installed. I play with medium settings and a resolution of 1024 x 768. I feel like I should be getting better framerates at these settings. Perhaps its my drivers? Are there any patches out for the game?

dx10 does nothing for this game but kill performance, ive tested in both maxed and saw nothing but lower frames...they say the shadowing is better but you dont notice it at all in a dark, fast game like gears.
