To all who own the 1440x900 version of the m15x screen, i wanted to know how much glossy is the screen? Is it mirror-like like for example the new macbook/pro ? Or is more acceptable like a balance between mate and mirror ? :D

It's a little glossy for my taste (I much prefer a matte screen) but it is nowhere near as glossy as the macbook from the pictures I've seen.

But even with my preference for matte I find it to be very usable.

    Hope this helps.

it's most definitely not as glossy as the new macbooks, but it still is pretty shiny and will reflect a lot.

I think it's just right, I had an acer which had a glossy screen and because the full brightness wasn't actually that bright, you could see everything being reflected all the time. But with the m15x I can only see glossy reflections either when i'm in direct sunlight or when there brightness is very low.

Remember that it's not just your ordinary ''glossy'' screen, but rather it's Alienware's patented Clearview Technology. lol

Here's a pic of my m15x, before i got it wrapped, beside my cousin's mbp. Maybe that can help you compare the glossiness of both screens ;)

I have a m15x with the matt screen and a ACER with a clear view screen. Out on my deck I can only use the ACER to comb my hair. I have no problem using my m15x outside.

Gods the new macbookpros are so ugly.

Anyways, the clearview screen is beautiful. I have an older macbookpro with a matter screen and color and whatnot looks better on my m15x.
