I'm thinking of getting the Alienware Orion Messenger Bag for the M17x. A lot of other 17 inch bags that i've seen aren't big enough for the M17x. Are there any other good bags out there that people have found and are thinking of getting for the new M17x?
-
I don't think the Orion fits it
-
Yeah it does i checked the measurements it's more then big enough for the M17x. It can actually fit 2 17 inch laptops.
-
the capacity is 16.5" x 11.5" x 2" according to newegg....
-
I am just looking for a good laptop sleeve, any ideas?
-
Alienware says it's big enough in the specifications. Are you going to believe the company that actually makes it or another company that has nothing to do with it.
-
idk man, I thought someone debated about it before, just tryin to help
-
i gotcha man, nvrmd, it is on the website, that is a good option then
-
Are you referring to this one, link?
-
nope i'm referring to this http://www.alienware.co.uk/GearShop_Pages/Gear_Shop_Detail.aspx?ItemId=13900&CatId=1196[/url]
-
here dude, cheapest on the web!!!

i'm in the UK so unfortunately i can't get that. You Americans are lucky you always get stuff way cheaper than us. We get so ripped off in the UK. It really annoys me!
-
-
Well that's still a Mobile Edge bag and they list the dimensions at 16.5 x 2 x 11.5. I would guess if you say Alienware says it will fit it's probably for the area51-m17x.
-
i dont suppose newegg ships out of the US?
-
I've ordered from the US before and a few weeks after i got what i ordered i got another bill from customs saying i had to pay a load of import tax. So once i pay that extra import tax it's not worth ordering from the US.

"device compatibility 19.1" x 13.25" x 3""
-
I'll have to double check with Alienware but Alienware are useless in the UK when you first call them you get through to Germany then they transfer you to someone that can speak english just about but are still foreign.
-
i was looking for bags too, and i thinks its easier for me just to make it. im welding a case out of light-weight aluminum =D
-
I don't want to make one i want to buy a good bag.
-
I ordered the Booq Mamba case. It was $135 and It arrived yesterday. Today I found out from the website it won't fit the M17x. Great! I might hang on to it if I get my M17x this week to see if it fits anyway

Look at Swiss Gear. I heard they have some pretty nice stuff, and a friend of mine has one for his Alienware Laptop.

As far as messenger bags go:
Slappa:

Case Logic:

Oakley:

STM: (if it fits it will be snug)

Targus:

Those are just a few and there's more to be found. Timbuk2 for example probably has a bag that will fit but I think they're ugly as sin. -

-
welcome to the circle then...
-
Edit: BTW I own an OGIO backpack for my Thinkpad. I've had it over 3 years and no durability issues. -
-
There still this option. Link
-
It's Victorninox Swiss not Wenger Swiss but the Ground Force Surveyor Backpack will fit an M17x.
As does the Alienware Backpack from MobileEdge, any 17" backpack from Slappa, or the more casual canvas backpack from Case Logic
Good Bag for the M17x
